Sandy Blythe has enjoyed song writing from a very young age and this love turned into a calling around the age of 13. After many years of writing songs for her family’s ministry, and many other groups such as The Whisnants, The McKameys, The Bowlings, The Perrys, The Taylors, The Mylon Hayes Family, and others, the Lord paved the way to the establishment of Blythe Music Group in 2011. She co-writes many songs with her brother Richard. They both take the process of writing seriously, feeling that each song should be a “sermon with a melody.” Most songs are inspired thru personal, real life experiences. Others are inspired by hearing a sermon or a casual comment by someone else who has no idea they just planted an idea. During the day, you’ll find her writing, cooking, sewing and helping maintain/coordinate the family wardrobe. During revival services, she plays keyboard and sings soprano or lead. She finds no greater joy than living life in the ministry with her family and seeing lives changed around the altars. One day shortly after graduating high school, she knelt in prayer beside her bed and wrote the lyrics to the following song, which expresses her heart today more than ever before……
“The center of your will is where I long to be

Richard Blythe is a regular writer, co-writer and producer of the demos recorded for Blythe Music Group. He also maintains the website for BMG and the family’s ministry website, TheBlytheFamily.net. Richard believes that everything he does should bring glory to God in terms of quality and appeal. He has faced many challenges in life that has given him a heart for ministry, including four bouts with Bells Palsy. He has shared how one episode with Bells Palsy was God ordained to keep him from losing his faith. (read).  His favorite verse is Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Richard maintains a busy schedule developing and maintaining websites during the day.. At night, you will find him somewhere on stage ministering with his family. He enjoys playing a variety of instruments such as, Bass, Drums, Electric Gtr, Acoustic Gtr, Mandolin. His favorite quote: Lord take me to deeper waters, where I can no longer see the shores of my own ambitions. If strongs winds move me closer to your will, then give me patience to ride the rough waves.
